SUNDAY, 22nd of SEPTEMBER, 2019

On this, the weekend of Diocesan Safeguarding Sunday, the Parish Safeguarding Team would like to announce upcoming training for Parish Clergy, Volunteers and Staff Members.

Good safeguarding practice is integral to the many and varied ministries in our parish. It is not an optional extra. Sandyford Parish has been highly praised by the Diocesan Child Safeguarding & Protection Service for the way in which our parish embraces safeguarding procedures and good practice guidelines to ensure that measures are in place to keep children and vulnerable adults participating in parish activities safe.

To maintain our excellent record Garry Kehoe, the Diocesan Child Safeguarding and Protection Trainer, will facilitate a Full Training Programme, 16th and 23rd of October, and an Information Session,  24th October, in our Parish Pastoral Centre.  Full details to follow.

“Families need to know that the Church is making every effort to protect their children.  They should also know that they have every right to turn to the Church with full confidence, for it is a safe and secure home.”  Pope Francis

The Child Safeguarding & Protection Statement for the Archdiocese of Dublin is displayed in each of our Parish Churches and the Parish Centre.
